A fairly common thing we hear from photographers is: “My clients just don’t want printed products.” But here’s the truth — more often than not, it’s not that they don’t want them. It’s that they’ve never been shown the value of them. They’re used to digital galleries. They expect USBs. That’s what the industry has trained them to expect. But just because it’s all they know, it doesn’t mean that’s all they want. Ian tells the story of being in a seminar with a number of very wealthy Americans. When he tried To View More >>

Hello to our USA friends! A quick update to confirm that we intend to absorb the additional cost of the tariffs, to support our valued clients. We’re grateful for your business, and we want the relationship to continue long into the future!  I hesitated to provide an update earlier because the situation is still changing. In fact a 90-day pause on “reciprocal” tariffs has just been announced on all countries except China. However the situation as it affects us has not changed since the original announcement. We have never taken sides in political matters. As small business To View More >>

Value Imagine if you said, “I want you to pay me what you think I’m worth.” Most people would imagine themselves out of business. We need to tell our clients what we’re worth, and live up to our rhetoric. What is the value of your work to people who don’t know you, or how much they should be paying? The value of a compelling and authentic brand is that it tells people the price of entry and helps them see it’s worth To View More >>

Here are our end of year deadlines, designed to ensure that you receive your orders in time for Christmas, and with low stress! They're important because our order volumes increase by 2-3 times over the holiday period and we want to be certain we can meet your delivery requirements. As we all know, couriers will also be extremely busy so please allow plenty of time for shipping. Books and Albums Book and albums using Queensberry Design Services: We have brought this date forward this year to give you and your client more time for editing. We believe that the best way to sell albums and other products is to create a tailored line that suits your market, personal imagery and brand. And we’ve realised that one little thing standing in the way is that you can’t customise our current cover material swatches to help you do that — select products, materials and colours, and then guide your clients to the right choice. So we've decided to relaunch our cover swatches to suit. We're now offering two different cover swatch tools, to choose your materials and to display them beautifully to clients.  The first is To View More >>

We very rarely share the positive reviews we receive from our clients but the other day we received a pretty special one from one of our new Print Shop users, Damien Lovegrove. He's a "go for it" guy who'd launched his store within a week of deciding to use Print Shop, and within days of that made his first large format canvas sale. We're sharing his review for two reasons: It offers great advice for anyone starting out — why he chose the platform, and the challenges he faced when setting it up. If you're already using Print Shop we'd love your thoughts over on the insider about what features To View More >>

Well, 2020 is nearly over, and most of us won't miss it! It hasn't been as bad for us Kiwis as many of us probably feared — but I'm sure it's been worse than expected for many of you. But it’s time as every year to express our gratitude to the people who make it happen. Thank you first to our clients. Your support, friendship and patience are very much appreciated. We're painfully aware that the end of the year has been made difficult by supply chain and courier issues that will have impacted some of you. We're very grateful that you choose to make us part of your own and your To View More >>

We're so grateful to our Workspace Print Shop early adopters. We've enjoyed helping you launch your Print Shops, and we love seeing your print, frame and canvas sales coming through! One thing you've told us is that you'd really like your customers to have a better visual experience when selecting their product options in the Print Shop shopping cart — which leads us to this update. The new Product Preview feature will show your customers the correct cropping of an image for the To View More >>

We believe successful wedding and portrait photographers need to love two things — taking photos and making sales! So we love to see our clients running promotions, and we like to help with them if we can. You can run successful promos for any number of reasons, for example a  Winter Sale, an offer to past clients or to book new ones. Or to promote a good cause, your new products, or your new website. The point is they're YOUR promotions. We're just here to help if we can, generally with 15% additional discount on all Queensberry To View More >>

Well, another year is over — our 50th! — and it’s time to express our gratitude, as always, to the people who make it happen. Thank you first to our clients. Your support, friendship and sometimes patience are very much appreciated. We're honoured that you choose to make us part of your own and your clients' stories. Thank you to our regulars, and to the people who joined us for the first time this year. Thank you also if you’ve just rejoined us. It’s great to have you back. And thank you to our amazing staff! Everything we produce is handmade. Work doubles, trebles To View More >>
